Samples of German traditional weaving. Woven bands, zippers, and vintage rubber bands used for the pieces of underwear (e.g. elastic stocking holder or bra holder). Some of these items were made in the 1920s-30s, others – in the 1950s and even the 1980s.

Weaving kente cloth on a weaving loom in Ghana, Africa. The artisans are usually men. The looms are designed in such a way that the kente cloth is woven in strips and then the needed width of fabric is made from the strips.

Traditional weaving on backstrap loom in South America. This is, most probably, a woman from Guatemala hand-weaving on a simple backstrap loom. The fabric is rather narrow but so bright and beautiful. Also, you can see the few required tools for such weaving.
