Rare vintage men’s shirt in mint shape, western Ukraine, the late 19th – early 20th century. Usually, male embroidered shirts had small amounts of embroidery, but this one is comparatively richly embellished. Also, it is rather long – it would reach almost to the knees.

Curious embroidery pattern on vintage men’s shirt. Central Ukraine, the early 20th century. Whitework, openwork, and other embroidery techniques are used to create this cute design. You can see a few buttons at the side of the shirtfront to help put it on, as the collar is a stand-up one and comparatively narrow. The cuff is also adorned with magnificent embroidery.
