Traditional outfits of Swedish people in the 10th century

In the 10th century, the clothing of people around the Europe was pretty similar. Women wore long dresses, and men used knee-length shirts. They wore leather shoes, different headdresses (hats and kerchiefs). Of course, all the garments were handmade and hand-dyed, as well as the accessories and jewelry. Warriors used hauberks (worn over thick and warm shirts or tunics) and metal helmets. There is certain romanticism in the ancient way of life and way of attiring.

Here are some examples of the traditional costumes in Sweden in the 10th century. These are the reconstructions based on the archeological finds.
