Mens and womens kilt
What's the difference between mens and womens kilt?
Re: Mens and womens kilt
Thanks for your question – it’s a really interesting one. First of all, Scots say that there is no women’s kilt. It’s just a kilted (or pleated) skirt. The female garment has fewer strict rules than a male one. It can be longer or shorter, with shallower pleats, and with different numbers of pleats (often it has much fewer folds). Usually, women’s kilted skirt opens on the left side while male kilt opens at the right (but a lot of kilt makers ignore that rule and produce skirts that open on either side). Women’s garment is also cut differently: women have a greater waist-to-hip ratio than men do, so a kilted skirt has a narrower waist and wider hips.

New info for me. Thanks

From the Devil's Brigade
The Canadians Arrive. All Canadian troops were wearing kilts. I've never seen Canadians wear kilts, play bagpipes, and they were playing Scotland the Brave? WHY WERE THEY PLAYING SCOTLAND THE BRAVE?!!!
