Female traditional wedding costume from Bukovyna region, the western part of Ukraine. It consists of a long shirt with richly embroidered sleeves, a skirt-like wrap-around garment, a woven belt, a sleeveless fur coat called “keptar”, a woven shoulder bag, and a headdress called “namitka”. The sleeveless fur coat has appliqué and embroidery on the front side. On one of the photos, you can see a sacred symbol used by Ukrainian women. The symbol works as an amulet. It is embroidered on the wedding outfit to bring children to the future family. The last two photos show the traditional wedding headdress "namitka" with beautiful embroidery. It is a long piece of white cloth draped over the head (there are many ways of draping it).
