Bavarian traditional costume (read more about it here: http://nationalclothing.org/37-national ... hosen.html) looks rather unusual and amusing. Dirndl dress (women’s dress) is very feminine, and sometimes it can be really sexy. Men’s clothing is called “lederhosen”, and it amuses me a lot. How can a man in leather shorts like that still look cute and likable? But they really do. German national attire proves that even a little strange folk dresses definitely should exist and be worn with proud.
The word is that in the past every man in Bavaria had to have only one pair of lederhosen, and they never washed it during their life. Is it true? Does someone know anything about that? Maybe I misunderstood something.
