Traditional garments of the countries in Africa. Folk dresses, separate pieces of national costume, clothing traditions, someone’s experience of making and using folk garments, pieces of advice for a newbie, etc.
These two dresses were made in modern days in two different African countries: Tanzania (orange dress at the right) and Côte d’Ivoire (red dress at the left). Such garments are used in Africa today. They have some features of the local traditional costumes but are pretty modern.
Here you are several very nice costumes created by a young African designer. They are modern African outfits with the traditional cut, decorations, patterns, or accessories.
